Jacob Abboud

Jacob Abboud joined the board of The Workforce Development Trust in 2022, following a successful career encompassing c-level positions at Legal & General, Allianz Insurance and AXA UK & Ireland.

A Chartered Member of the British Computer Society, Jacob holds a PhD in Computer-Aided Engineering from the University of Bath and has a long track record of leading digital transformation in complex organisations.

Jacob has previously held non-Executive roles at Allianz Business Services Limited (Premierline) and the Motor Insurers’ Bureau. He currently serves as a Non-Executive Director at the Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) and the Financial Ombudsman Service where he chairs the Transformation Committee.

In 2019 Jacob was named in the Global BT150 (top 150 Global Business Transformation Leaders) and voted amongst the top 20 digital transformation leaders to follow on Twitter the following year.
