Covid-19 has required many of us to work remotely and in a more flexible and agile way to meet new demands. While at the same time, we have had to develop new and improved methods of working for the future. No matter our role, we have all faced new challenges to varying degrees, and needed to become more collaborative and inclusive to allow for innovation and change.

The launch of our  national research, ‘Developing a Resilient Workforce, aims to explore the critical skills development needs for our  workforce of the future, and now is the chance to have your say with our survey.

Since 2010, our leading team of researchers have conducted a Government-recognised biennial research project across the UK, surveying employers and employees within the health and care sectors, capturing their views of current workforce skills and competencies needs.

This year’s survey focuses on cross-sector skills gaps, the impact on learning due to Covid-19, ongoing training needs, flexible and remote working, equality, diversity, and inclusion at work, as well as organisational and people development requirements.

Dr Benedict Eccles, our Head of Consultancy Practice commented: “Our consultants and researchers work year-round to bring you our acclaimed Workforce Development Survey. We use our labour market intelligence, workforce planning and organisational development expertise to enable our clients and their sectors to benchmark, gain organisational insight and inform their current planning processes. By participating in the survey, thousands of employers and employees collaborate with us to reveal learning and development trends, staff engagement methodologies, leadership and management priorities, pressing workforce matters, and inclusion and wellbeing considerations.”

Crucially, the national research findings will help to evidence what our workforce need to succeed in a post-pandemic environment and support employers to continue to dedicate much-needed resource to improving the workplace, for their people.

The survey will be live until the 30th June 2021 and your participation in this vital research will also go further by supporting Mencap, as we pledge to donate 10p for every completed survey response to the leading charity for people with a learning disability.
