The Modern and Technical Apprenticeships in Social Services and Healthcare are developed and maintained in partnership with the Scottish Social Services Council who provides certification for the frameworks. Certification FAQs

Skills for Health issues certificates for Dental Nursing, Healthcare Support (Clinical), Healthcare Support (Non-Clinical), Optical Practice Support and Pharmacy Apprentices in Scotland. Certification and registration claims must be made via MA Online.

How long does it take for applications to be approved?

All applications are approved or rejected within 10 days.

How do I pay for registration – Scotland?

Once you submit your claim for registration on MA Online an invoice will be raised.  The claim will then move to ‘payment pending’ status until payment is received.  Payment details can be found on the invoice. When paying by BACS it is important to send us information detailing the invoice number or names of each apprentice your BACS payment relates to. This can be emailed to financereceivables@wdtrust.org.uk. When sending a payment by cheque you must provide the invoice number or detail the names of the apprentices you are paying for. Cheques must be made payable to Skills for Health Ltd. The cost of Registration is £50.00 per apprentice and this fee also covers certification.

Please ensure your PO number or Authorising name is entered in the ‘PO/authorised name’ field under the Identifiers tab on MA Online as this is required for invoicing.

How do I request a reprint of my certificate – Scotland?

To request a reprint please contact the team at apprenticeshipadmin@people1st.co.uk. You will be sent a reprint request form to complete. You will then be invoiced in the sum of £50.00 per reprint. Once payment is received your reprint will be forwarded to you.
