Abigail Concannon
Coaching Faculty
Abigail has over twenty five years’ experience as an organisational and leadership consultant, counsellor and coach. She works with systems, organisations, teams and individuals seeking to develop productive relationships that enable collaborative partnerships within and across organisations at multiple levels. Informed by diverse interests in systems theory, innovation, technology, design and psychoanalysis and with a passion for life-long learning, she brings energy and commitment to every project or role.
Abigail’s approach to coaching is based on genuine curiosity around individual experience. Drawing on her portfolio career which includes her private practice, a background in the arts and design, teaching (MSc Elizabeth Garrett Anderson, MA in Organisational Dynamics) and consulting to public and private sector organisations she has a particular interest in facilitating and developing understanding of inter and intra -personal dynamics. This has translated into a thoughtful, compassionate and supportive approach to her coaching work which seeks to make sense of person, context, role and system simultaneously.
Abigail is a certified Analytic Network Coach and also works in partnership with Helen Shaw at ShawConcannon Consultants. She is a Senior Associate Consultant at the King’s Fund. As a therapist she is registered with the UKCP and is currently Service Lead for Keeping Well NCL – one of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Hubs created to support staff across Health and Social Care in the context of the pandemic and recovery. She has co-designed and delivered Action Learning Facilitator training (including for the national iThrive team) and is a passionate advocate of reflective spaces that are so necessary for people working in Health and Social Care in the current climate.
