The Six Steps Methodology to Integrated Workforce Planning® is Skills for Health’s unique training programme, which enables healthcare providers to align skill and staffing levels with current and future service demand.

The Six Steps Methodology has helped to support the delivery of quality patient care in the NHS for over a decade, and after sustained positive feedback, the programme is now SFJ Awards certified for the very first time.

The sessions were engaging and transformed workforce planning from an enormous and complex thing into something doable.

Certification of Skills for Health’s trusted workforce planning methodology provides participants with a Certificate of Attendance, giving NHS employers confidence that staff have taken part in a training programme with definable aims and objectives where attendance enhances individual skills and knowledge in workforce planning.

Provided free of charge, certification provides a transferable record of achievement to support learner career progression. Moreover, as the gold standard programme for the sector, it enhances the interoperability of integrated workforce planning efforts across the wider healthcare system.

Our confidence and trust were built quite quickly in Skills for Health’s methods and approach. It felt like a true knowledge exchange.
